Instructors
The CCCCA Chinese Traditional Dance program is divided into three levels. These levels are divided by age, and technical ability. When it comes time for a performance, students from any of the classes can be drawn by the instructors’ decisions. Below is a list of the instructors’ names and the levels they teach. Each of the teachers draw from a unique experience and bring a colorful diversity to the CCCCA.
Haijun Wang- Level One Chinese Traditional Dance, Level Two Chinese Traditional Dance, Level Three Chinese Traditional Dance
Instructor Wang comes from a background of private instruction in China. Her students compete in the more aggressive dance arenas of China.
Connie Zhang- Level One Acrobatics, Level Two Acrobatics, Level Three Acrobatics
Instructor Zhang is a retired contortionist and acrobat. Her training began in her toddler years with her father. She has traveled the world performing at many well known venues including the Cavs v. Lakers game a few years back. She is currently retired and focuses her energy on teaching the next generation.
Hua Lee- Level Two Chinese Dance, Performance Coordination
Yin Tang- Level Three Chinese Dance/ Performance Team Coordination
Instructor Tang has learned traditional Chinese dance from her mother at an early age. She has been teaching at the CCCCA since March of 1999. Her instruction includes 9 years of ballet and summers studying Chinese dance in China. Never exhausted, she charges on with her mission of bringing Chinese Dance awareness to Cleveland.
Key:
Level One- toddlers and beginning students
Level Two- ages 6-11, or with moderate dance ability
Level Three- ages 12 and up, or with more than intermediate dance ability
Easy to understand and easy to navigate.
